How Blue Crane Started
Blue Crane was founded in 2014 by Tom and Steuart Walton, who saw what Northwest Arkansas was becoming and decided to build for it. The first projects came through Ropeswing Hospitality Group: restaurants and hotels that helped shape downtown Bentonville. From there the focus widened to office, retail, residential, and mixed-use.
The approach hasn’t changed: acquire the right sites, build them well, and hold them. Every property in the portfolio sits in Bentonville or Springdale, and every decision gets made by people who live here.

We don’t build to sell. Properties stay in the portfolio, and that long-term ownership shows in how they’re maintained. It’s a big part of why tenants renew.
